Whether joyous or difficult, life-altering or small, painful or beautiful, we all have stories of change. It’s woven into the tapestry of our lives.

In an effort to continue in the project that begins with this book, Change for the First Time, Again, I am asking for others to join in and share a story of change. I believe these stories of change will stir us to remember who we are, where we’ve come from, where we are, and where we are going as part of the story Jesus is writing.

Easy Word Count

As you submit your story, I’d ask that you keep it to no more than 1,000 words (about 2 pages single-spaced). If you want the story to remain anonymous, that’s great. Just note that as well.

Various Topics

Below are some general topics to help get the “story juices” flowing or you can take a peek at the many other stories already shared to get some ideas. Consider sharing the emotions of the situation, what you experienced, what you learned, what particular things changed, or that you’re still reflecting on the challenge and are unsure of what is going on.

  • Moving from one place/city to another
  • Conversion, becoming a follower of Jesus
  • Change of job
  • Loss of job
  • Graduation
  • Marriage
  • Learning something new
  • A painful, difficult season of life
  • Birth of a child
  • A book that changed your perspective
  • Divorce
  • Loss of a loved one
  • A community or friend who walked with you during a difficult time
  • Change in theological perspective
  • A ministry challenge or joy

There are plenty of ideas you will have as well.
